Marian

'Marian' is a short street interview with one of the neighbours of Cork Street, in Dublin 8. He is Marian, a Rumanian kid full of imagination. Through the interview, his words allow us to understand how he fits in a multicultural Dublin. The present video belong to a series of interviews from an ongoing project on the community around Cork Street, one of the most important thoroughfares in Dublin, and one that it is suffering enormous changes in the last years. The project started in 2003 and will produce a final exhibition on 2007.

The short has been selected for the Darklight Film Festival 2006. This is encouraging me to finalise this project as planned, and perhaps be able to offer the full collection of interviews for next years Festival. You can watch the world premiere at the Festival, or enjoy it online.
